Program
The Placement Program
Seven steps, run by one team, from your first call to your first day.
- 1Free consultation
- 2Profile rebuild
- 3Search plan
- 4Applications & outreach
- 5Interview preparation
- 6Offer & decision
- 7Start & status
Step 1
Free consultation
A conversation, not a sales pitch. We ask about the roles you want, your experience, your timeline and your work authorization, and we tell you plainly whether the program fits. You know what it costs before the call ends.
- What you do
- Book a time, and bring your current resume if you have one.
- In your dashboard
- Nothing yet. Your account is created when you enroll.
Step 2
Profile rebuild
We rebuild your resume, LinkedIn profile and portfolio so that recruiters searching for your skills can find you, using only the roles, dates and skills you really have.
- What you do
- Answer our questions about your projects honestly and in detail.
- In your dashboard
- Every version of your resume, with our notes on each.
Step 3
Search plan
On an intake call we agree the roles you are targeting, the locations you will consider, the lowest salary you would accept and what your work authorization allows. We also set up the email address we apply from, so every reply reaches one place.
- What you do
- Tell us every company you have already applied to, so we never apply twice.
- In your dashboard
- Your intake answers and your work authorization dates.
Step 4
Applications & outreach
We find roles that match your search plan and send applications in your name, each with a resume and cover letter tailored to the posting. For each one we contact the recruiter or hiring manager where we can, so a person hears about your application, not just a tracking system.
- What you do
- Tell us if you apply anywhere yourself, and watch the inbox for replies.
- In your dashboard
- Every application, where it stands, and the exact resume and cover letter we sent.
Step 5
Interview preparation
When an employer invites you to interview, we prepare you for that company and that round: mock interviews with working engineers, the questions to expect and the questions to ask. Afterwards, we help you follow up.
- What you do
- Do the mock interviews, and sit every real interview yourself.
- In your dashboard
- Your upcoming sessions and the feedback from each one.
Step 6
Offer & decision
When an offer arrives, we help you compare it with your other options, prepare for the pay conversation and check that the job fits your work authorization before you accept, for example that a STEM OPT employer is enrolled in E-Verify.
- What you do
- Make the decision. It is always yours.
- In your dashboard
- Your offers, and a checklist of what to confirm before you accept.
Step 7
Start & status
Before you start, we help you track the paperwork your situation needs, such as CPT authorization on your Form I-20, a Form I-983 training plan for STEM OPT, or telling your DSO about a new employer. Your DSO, your employer and their attorneys make the decisions; we help you keep track of them.
- What you do
- Confirm each item with your DSO or your employer.
- In your dashboard
- Your checklist, with due dates.
What we never do
- Add a role, a date or a skill you do not have to your resume.
- Sit an interview for you. You attend every interview yourself.
- Decide your immigration status. Your DSO, your employer and USCIS do.
Questions people ask first
Can you promise me a job?
No. Nobody honest can, because the employer decides who to hire. What we commit to is the work: tailored applications, recruiter follow-up and preparation for every interview. You get your fees and the refund terms in writing before you pay.
Do you apply to jobs in my name?
Yes, with your agreement. We send tailored applications from an email address set up for your search and contact recruiters about them. Every resume we send is built from work you have actually done, and you sit every interview yourself.
When do I pay the placement fee?
Only after you accept an offer, and in installments. The enrollment fee is paid once, at the start. You'll know both amounts before you enroll.
Are you an H-1B sponsor?
No. We are not a petitioning employer and we do not file immigration petitions. For H-1B, the employer files the petition and USCIS decides it.
Do you decide whether I qualify for CPT or OPT?
No. Your school's designated school official (DSO) decides CPT and recommends OPT, and USCIS decides OPT applications. We help you keep track of what your school asks for; we don't give immigration advice.
Do you work with roles outside tech?
Not today. We focus on technology roles so that our preparation stays specific. If that isn't what you're looking for, we'll tell you on the first call.
